Couples Vacation Party Style

A couple's vacation with great friends the Levett's, the Ling's,Villone's and us the Cacho's.  We took a trip to New Orleans and then a  West Caribbean Cruise. We just partied every day drinking, eating, and playing Mahjong.  Here's a few pictures.

Tribute to my Mom

Veronica Falucho Cacho was born on September 1, 1925. She was the first of nine children born to Feliza Pampo and Francisso Falucho in San Narciso, Zambales Philippines. She was married to Flordelino Cacho for 65 years. Veronica wanted to make sure the love of her life was committed to her before he was deployed in late June 1945. So the couple secretly married June 11, 1945. When Flor came back from his overseas duty they renewed their vows September 12, 1949.

Veronica was blessed with three sons, Florbie Robert (Bob), Noel Roque and Alex Ray. Civil service became her occupation for 9 years starting in the Philippines and ending in California as a keypunch operator.

Parties, cooking and entertainment is what Veronica enjoyed. She loved people, especially family and friends. Before casino?s, Mahjongg was the couple?s weekend obsession. They would play until three sometime four in the morning. When Viejas and Barona came along slot machines became her new favorite. Dancing was foremost at the top of her list. The family backyard patio was her favorite dance floor. Veronica became a pro at the Electric slide. She was also very involved in senior citizen club activities.

Bob, Veronica?s oldest son married Joy White in 1973 and they have five children, Lisa, Lyle, Leilani, (married to Jay) Joel and Ariana. Lyle and his wife Cayte have Veronica?s two great-grand children, Veronica Lorraine and James David Cacho.

Noel is the father of her grandson Bronson and Alex is the father of grandson Miles (married Yuka) and step-grandson Scott.

Beside the love for parties, dancing and entertaining she enjoyed camping when her sons were young and camp trips with her grandkids and families.

Veronica went home to be with our Lord on October 31st 2010 just five months after she lost her beloved Flor May 21st 2010. She has three surviving siblings Maria Busto, Bailon and Warlito Falucho. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

We love you Mom, Sister, Auntie, Grandma and Great-Grandma.

Services are Friday Nov 19, 2010 starting at 2:00pm and Funeral Nov 20, 2010 at 12:00pm at El Camino Mortuary, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd., San Diego CA 92121.

Yuka and Miles Cacho's Wedding

Cambodian Wedding (click to learn more) is a two day affair that started on a Friday evening Sept 24 to Saturday Sept 25 midnight. My nephew Miles, (my brother Alex's son), and his new wife, Yuka were married during this fabulous occasion.
